1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. white sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. chopped cranberries
2/3 c. milka
Sift together the salt, flour, and baking powder.
In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy (until the butter and sugar are fluffy that is). Beat in the egg and vanilla, then stir in the berries.
Add the flour mixture and milk — alternating between the two — to the butter bowl. Pour the whole mixture into a 1.5 quart pot (or some heat-proof container).
Cover the pot with tin foil and place it inside a larger pot filled with hot water, so that the water reaches halfway up the side of the inner pot. Cover the larger pot and steam the pudding for 1 1/2 hours.
Serve warm with whipped cream.
